The Edible Garden Project

The Edible Garden Project is dedicated to increasing access to fresh, organic vegetables within our communities. We provide hands-on education on growing, harvesting, and preparing nutritious meals. Our initiatives include donating produce to local food pantries, conducting food distributions at multiple locations, hosting a quarterly market stand, offering affordable produce through partner stores, and organizing complimentary farm-to-table dinners.

Through workshops, events, and demonstrations, we aim to inspire sustainable gardening practices and empower individuals to grow their own food, fostering both health and community connection.

Ways to show support

  • Help with daily garden upkeep at Victory Garden! Volunteer days are every 3rd Saturday of the month at the Helping Hands Day or on Wednesdays from 8 AM - 12 PM. No sign-up is required.

  • You can sponsor a seasonal garden project by helping us lower our operational costs. Seeds, mulch, compost and tools are a few of the many things needed to keep on growing. You can also contribute supplies or funding toward our Adopt-A-School projects and community family programming. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor of Victory Garden, get in touch with us at victorygarden.tavares@gmail.com for more information.

  • Buy local at our ‘Oh Taste & See’ market stand where fresh produce meets community spirit! Enjoy seasonal vegetables, fruits, roots and flowers grown with sustainable agricultural practices and lots of love. Learn more about our market here.

  • Any donation is appreciated.
